David Heath
I am a software developer based in London, UK. I'm very interested in applying agile techniques to web development. I've worked a lot with SimpleTest in PHP, and practiced test-driven development on eZ Publish 2, eZ Publish 3 and Symfony frameworks. I'm currently working for Wordtracker, a leading internet marketing services company, working mainly in Ruby on Rails.
Previously I built and maintained a major CMS system for OneWorld.net based on eZ Publish 2.x, and acted as a developer and consultant to numerous NGOs including CAFOD, Amnesty International Secretariat, SCIAF and WACC. For a fuller CV please check out my Linked In profile.
In 2006/07 I took a 1 year "sabbatical" in Lyon, France. As well as learning to speak the language and enjoy meeting a lot of really great new friends, I also took the opportunity to learn to play the Diatonic Accordion (also known as a Melodeon in English), and undertook a two-month cycle tour of southern France, riding a hybrid recumbent/upright tandem called a Hase Pino.
